Swarm Project Space

The Project Space at Swarm is a small gallery off the main gallery and features installations, video pieces and conceptual works focusing on the constant shaping and reshaping of our home city of Oakland. This site-specific focus is open to local and international artists, displaying new works from both native/local and outsider perspectives. Oakland is a culturally diverse urban center, home to more artists per capita than anywhere in the United States outside of New York City. The Swarm Project Space aims to display work that is both sympathetic and responsive to issues effecting the city's physical landscape and community.
